这跟通胀有毛关系，现实生活中quarter早就是最低单位了。如果用现金付帐，一般人都会keep the change，早在将近四十多年前的中国，朱时茂吃混沌时”请找一分”就被作为笑话看待了。

即使是1.42美分时期也是很多抱怨，而且对废除美分的讨论至少可以追溯到十年前，我没记错加拿大废除penny也是十几年前，只是美国现在才有动力办了
