English will be the ONLY popular language sooner than we all expect
My hot take is:
English might not be the only language at this moment even when most valuable content (scientific discoveries, open source communities, financial documents etc) is created in English already.
What makes English ever more dominating is the LLMs, which could exponentially accelerate content production with no extra effort. English content might only make up 90% of the whole internet now, but that advantage can be disproportionately amplified in post-AI era.
A quick example:
Amazon restricts authors from self-publishing more than three books a day after AI concerns
